Some models combine overlock stitches together with a cover hem stitch. These models usually use 5 threads, however, some use even more. In fact up to 8 threads.!

Fantastic machine. Easy to thread. Very easy to use. Girlfriend is over the moon with this machine. Very good quality. Would highly recommend this machine to anyone looking for a home overlocker and perhaps small shop use as we have had no problems regardless to what material we use on it. Very easy to identify tension needed via test material and to adjust accordingly.

As a complete beginner I did my research and narrowed my choice down to the Babylock Imagine. I have not used it yet but have studied the manual and bought my threads and fabric. It is a sturdy fairly compact machine with an easy to understand manual. I also made use of the Internet videos (YouTube) and was able then ask questions and advice from various sources. I'm looking forward to many satisfied years with my new machine. If you need further advice speak to the people at Sewing Machine Sales they are always most helpful.

I bought the Brother 1034d for the Sanquhar Sewing Bee. It is an excellent machine for beginners and experienced sewers. I love the way it has a built in rolled hem which will come in handy for some of our Summer and Christmas makes. I also can't wait to show the ladies how cool it is gathering a frill onto a cushion in one pass through the machine. A good overlocker reasonably priced and the free feet a bonus. The machine arrived the next day, a big thank you to Sewing Machine Sales

The Brother 1034D overlocker is ideal for giving your garments a professional finish. It is also great at doing gathering without having to tack things first. I have used this for making garments without having to use a sewing machine. It is a sewing machine in itself. If you are looking for an overlocker, this is the one.

I ordered this machine quite late on before Xmas and wow it arrived before Xmas Eve excellent service as always. The machine is great and stitches better than my previous overlocker can't fault it at all, easy to thread and great price.
