Some models combine overlock stitches together with a cover hem stitch. These models usually use 5 threads, however, some use even more. In fact up to 8 threads.!

Bought this machine for my partner. She has used her overlocker for about 15 years. This is a replacement for her old one. She is very pleased with this one as it has a built in needle threader which she has never had before and is very useful

This is an excellent machine, very sturdily built. I hesitated for ages over buying an overlocker and I admit to being terrified of using it. I need not have worried; it comes ready threaded so you can get going straight away, and I've completed some cushion covers today with a very professional looking finish. The instruction book is not brilliant and the dvd very outdated, but there are loads of YouTube videos showing how to thread it etc. I can't wait to experiment with the different feet supplied and varying the stitch size etc. A great buy.
