Some models combine overlock stitches together with a cover hem stitch. These models usually use 5 threads, however, some use even more. In fact up to 8 threads.!

I have only had my machine 1 week but have had a play and it seems to be doing every thing well they have made the threading very easy. The only thing I couldn't get my head round was the blind hemming, have watched the DVD a couple of times and will have another go. Well worth the money.

Loving the Janome coverpro 1000CPX, I did a lot of research before deciding on this one and it is excellent value for the money. I am using it for sample making in my sportswear/ cycling-wear design business, so it gets used more than an average hobby machine. It stitches beautifully even on thicker fabrics. Also got all the attachments, feet and binders to have the complete functionality, feet are great, still practicing with the binders, I am sure they'll be great once I work out how to stop fabric curling up before it feeds through. If you are looking for a good machine that does not cost the world, this one is a great option.

I received the machine by next day delivery within a given time slot with no problems. It came with a dvd as well as instruction manual which together makes it easy to get to grips with all its features and so far I have been very pleased with its performance.

This is the best machine I have come across in a long time. The quality is superb,the ease of threading the many different combinations of stitches is unrivaled. So far I cannot fault it, I've only had it two days so still trying different stitches and techniques So far so good. I would recommend this machine to any avid sewing person I know it is expensive but well worth the money if you do a lot of sewing I sew every day so it will be well used. My next project is curtains for my newly built sewing room so will be doing a few miles of overlocking. So happy I bought this machine it deserves a STANDING OVATION .

Took me a while to get it threaded for the first time. Once you work it out it's pretty simple. Have just been trying out on scraps of fabric but the finish is very good. Easy to feed fabric through and foot pedal responsive. Very good value for money and perfect for me as this is my first overlocker.

I've never used an overlocker before but this machine and it's instruction book made it easy to get started. The result is a more professional looking finish. The only comment I would make is that the booklet didn't make it clear that the thread tree had to be fully raised so I consequently had to re-thread the machine.
