This Boobin case is for the Silver 9400 sewing machine. This controls the bottom tension of your sewing, if your bobbin case has been adjusted you may have broken it and resetting it is very difficult. The bobbin holder on you machine should be free from holes caused by a sewing needle hitting the plate and also free from burs or gouges that the thead could be caught on and caus a thead jam and more dameage to your machine. This is a quick and direct replacement.
